As Chairman of The Club Foundation and GM of Century Country Club, located in the eye of the COVID-19 storm here in New York, I wanted to personally reach out to you today and ask for your help. Our hospitals are in dire need of the following personal protective equipment:
I urge you to check your storage facilities, both at your clubs and homes, for these items and to please donate them to your local hospital. More information on the #GetUsPPE movement and a searchable list of where you can go to drop off your donations can be found here: http://getusppe.org/give/.
If your local medical facility isn’t listed, please contact them about where to drop off these much-needed and life-saving items – or, ask if you can drop your donations off with a healthcare worker you know personally. Here is an article from the Los Angeles Times confirming the need nation-wide. Please read to the end and you will see a fantastic FAQ section detailing the magnitude of this problem. If you don’t have any of the items needed, please donate to help fund the search for and manufacturing of these personal protective items so desperately needed by our healthcare workers on the front lines fighting this vicious disease.
The club industry has always banded together in times of crisis, and I know that today will not be any different. Won’t you please help me get these supplies to our health care workers so that they can do their jobs and save more lives. Let's stand #CMAAStrong to help those who are helping others.
Thank you and stay safe,
Burton Ward, CCM, CCE & Jeff Morgan, FASAE, CAE
P.S. Please share this ask with your members, employees, families, neighbors, etc. The more people who read this, the more lives that will be saved.

Therefore, The Club Foundation provides dollars for the following five key areas: 1) Students 2) Faculty 3) Club Managers 4) CMAA Chapters 5) Industry at Large. The Club Foundation has a donor base of constituents that seek to further the knowledge and skills of those individuals that lead country clubs, yacht clubs, city clubs, and more.

“The CF internship is a wonderful opportunity for faculty to explore and immerse themselves into the private club industry. The willingness of club professionals to educate and share their experiences with you is overwhelmingly beneficial. The experience provides faculty opportunities to apply current information and trends to curriculum development, create a reliable and functioning network of industry experts, and identify and pursue research topics.”

“Having received the Willmoore Kendall Scholarship in 2016, I can attest to the importance and integral role The Club Foundation plays in allowing members to achieve their personal and professional goals. This was clearly evident personally, as I used the funds provided from the scholarship to attend the necessary BMI courses and subsequently attain my CCM designation in November 2017. With that sentiment in mind, I would love to do my part and give back through advocacy for The Club Foundation.
